This is the 2nd titles of three research book planned to be published in regard to the dental workforce in Malaysia. The aims of this book series is to present finding on the drivers for change and their potential of implications for the dental workforce in Malaysia from the perspective of the key stakeholder; whilst validating the perceptions of final year dentals students and make recommendation for the future in relation to serving the populations. This research is part of a health services research (HSR) study concentrating on the effects of socio-culture, economic, organisational structures, health technologies and personal behaviours on the accessibility, quality, the cost of health care, and eventually, people’s health and well-being (Academy Health, 2000). The first chapter of this book will discuss the background context and set out scenes of workforce issues for Malaysia, before moving to the subsequent literature section.
