The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) recognises that assessment is an integral component of effective teaching and learning. Quality assessment is vital to the University’s educational goal to nurture, develop and produce insan sejahtera, i.e., graduates who are knowledgeable, competent, balanced, and harmonious as stipulated in our Falsafah Pendidikan Kebangsaan (National Education Philosophy). Assessment shapes the learning that will take place; it moulds what students will learn and how they will learn it. In a nutshell, assessment is a catalyst for progress and reform in educational practices.
